Translating evidence into policy action: which diet‐related practices are essential to achieve healthy and sustainable food system transformation?

Policy‐makers have a critical role to play in transforming our food system to enable a sustainable future for our growing global population. Food production and consumption practices must shift to feed nearly 10 billion people by 2050 while respecting planetary boundaries and promoting human health.2 This requires a whole‐of‐system approach, including evidence‐based policy to shift diet‐related practice at the population level. This research aims to translate existing literature into practical terms for policy‐makers by presenting a set of specific healthy and environmentally sustainable diet‐related practices
