Dietary fibre and whole grains in diabetes management: Systematic review and meta-analyses

A recent systematic review and meta-analysis, co-authored Jim Mann, showed that high-fibre diets are a key aspect of diabetes management. An increase of 15 grams per day, which could be achieved through replacing refined grains with whole grains, would improve glycaemic control and reduce premature mortality in those with type-2 diabetes
